Parker Higgins is an artist and activist living in Brooklyn. He works at Freedom of the Press Foundation, an organization that uses technology to improve the privacy and information security of journalists and their sources. He also constructs crosswords and develops related software, including "cursewords," a terminal interface for solving puzzles. Ross Trudeau began constructing crosswords in 2017. His puzzles have appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, L.A. Times, The Puzzle Society, Universal, and other publications. He once spent several months unsuccessfully hunting an extraordinarily resourceful mouse in his Boston apartment. After acknowledging the mouse's superior spy craft, Ross dubbed him Jason Bournemouse and resolved to coexist peacefully.
