Q Types has been experienced by over a million people across SPYSCAPE's London and New York venues. Here are the questions we hear most.
SPYSCAPE is an immersive spy museum experience for holiday and summer camps in London and New York. Campers complete hands-on challenges designed by psychologists and former MI6 trainers, and each camper receives their own personal Q Type profile revealing their unique strengths and spy skills.
Yes. Each camper's Q Type profile is entirely individual, reflecting their own choices, scores and responses across the challenges.
A Q Type is an individual profile based on multiple factors including empathy, risk tolerance, observation, pattern recognition, cognitive ability and decision-making style. The Q Type methodology was developed by Professor Adrian Furnham, a leading psychologist, and John Taylor, former Head of Training at British Intelligence (MI6). There are ten Q Types in total, each based on archetypes used by real intelligence agencies. Unlike traditional psychological profiles Q Types are based on both self-reported and observed results. Every camper receives their own individual profile, making it an inspiring takeaway from the experience.
Yes. All entrances, galleries and bathrooms at both the London and New York venues are fully accessible via wheelchair and walker. If any camper requires a carer or personal assistant, they receive a complimentary ticket - please bring proof of eligibility.
SPYSCAPE is suitable for campers aged 8 and up. The experience works well for a wide range of ages within that bracket - challenges are designed to be engaging for children, pre-teens and teenagers alike. There is no upper age limit.
SPYSCAPE supports STEM, PSHE and personal development in London, and STEM and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in New York. Campers develop critical thinking, communication, collaboration and resilience through hands-on spy missions and real espionage history - making it an ideal enrichment activity for holiday and summer camps.
Campers explore an authentic spy museum with real gadgets and artefacts, then complete a series of immersive challenges including lie-detection, code-breaking, surveillance and personality tests. Each challenge is designed to develop teamwork, problem-solving and confidence. At the end, every camper receives their own personal Q Type profile revealing their unique strengths and spy skills.
Yes. Each camper will need to provide a valid email address during the visit in order to receive their personal Q Type profile. Please prepare campers and their parents or guardians for this before arrival.
New York camp group bookings can be made directly online at spyscape.com. London camp enquiries should be submitted via the enquiry form on the Camps page at spyscape.com/camps. Bookings must be made and paid at least one week before your visit.
A SPYSCAPE visit typically takes around 90 minutes in New York and 60 minutes in London. If you add SPYGAMES with an All Access ticket, allow at least 2 hours in total. Last entry is 90 minutes before closing in New York and 60 minutes before closing in London. Please ensure all campers are together at check-in.
