Gabrielle only recently started constructing puzzles. Her first publications were in early 2019 for her student newspaper The Maroon; she debuted in New York Times in November the same year. Growing up, Gabrielle loved Ally Carter’s Gallagher Girls series about an all girls academy for aspiring secret agents, which begins with Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy. She was deeply disappointed when her parents were not interested in paying for boarding school so that she could learn espionage as well as how to be a teenager. Currently, Gabrielle is a senior at the University of Chicago where she co-edits the weekly crossword and serves as a member of Hillel’s leadership board. She hopes to move back to New York next year and to be employed.
