Date Nights at SPYSCAPE
Looking for a smarter, bolder, more exciting date night? Found it.
First, write your secret message on a small strip of paper the size of a standard fortune.
Then, dampen the cookie by applying a small amount of water to a piece of paper towel and wrapping it up. Place it in a microwave (still wrapped in the towel) and set it to full power for around 20 seconds. Remove it carefully (the towel will be hot). The shell of the fortune cookie should now be soft and you’ll be able to open it up, remove the old fortune, put your secret inside, and close it up again. Wait a few moments and it will harden back to normal. Your cookie and its message are now completely inconspicuous.
For added stealth, you can also reseal the cookie’s plastic packaging: place the cookie inside its original wrapping, bring the top together and gently apply heat from a lighter. This will melt the plastic and fashion a smooth seal. You should now have what looks like a never-before-opened fortune cookie inside a never-before-opened plastic wrapping.
If you’re into baking as a pastime, you can even make your own fortune cookies from scratch.
