Spy Tricks: Covert Ballpoint Pen

If you want to be a spy you'll need to learn a few tricks of the trade. Here's how to convert a ballpoint pen into a sneaky storage device.

Items required:

  • Pen and paper
  • Ruler
  • Scissors/crafting knife
  • Tape (of any kind)

This device is speedy and effective: simply remove the head and ink assembly from a ballpoint pen, tape your hidden message around the inkwell, and reassemble.

The recipient can reply to your message on the same piece of paper with the same pen. Handily, the pen also has a built-in, self-destruct function: snap it in half and the ink should empty all over your message.
