During the Cold War, a former Nuremberg prosecutor is recruited by the CIA to negotiate the safe return of one of their pilots, using a captured Soviet spy as a bargaining chip.

OUR TAKE: We rate this film highly. It’s beautifully tense, richly detailed, fiercely intelligent, and filled with both heart and historical accuracy. It features wonderfully subtle uses of dead drops and hidden messages along with gripping spy negotiation tactics.
