OUR TAKE: Eye In The Sky is a thoughtful and provoking movie on modern warfare techniques, delving into the personal, professional, and moral implications of drone strikes, targeted surveillance and assassinations. The entire film is set around one specific strike, in which a child would be killed if a drone missile were to be launched, leading to tense negotiations and ethical arguments that spread to various intelligence agency departments and entire governments. What sets this film apart is its real-time, fast-paced insight into the world of modern espionage; time is against everyone, and we see people in positions of power both flourish and crumble as the pressure mounts.
