Sneakers (1992) • PG-13
Rotten Tomatoes: 81%
IMDB: 7.1 / 10
A team of ethical hackers, some of whom have a history of criminal fraud, are persuaded by the government to steal a code-breaking machine from a mathematician.
OUR TAKE: Sneakers does a stand-up job of recreating the world of the hacker. It touches upon themes that are still highly relevant today, like mass surveillance, and even features the NSA, with programs analogous to Prism and Tempora. Worth a watch.
