Corporate Team Building in New york

Looking for a team event your colleagues will still be talking about next quarter?

At SPYSCAPE in Midtown Manhattan, your group step into the world of espionage - decoding, deceiving, detecting and thinking on their feet through a series of immersive missions. Afterwards, a private debrief room, catering included, is where it all comes together: each person receives their Q Type, an in-depth personal profile modeled on the frameworks real intelligence agencies use to assess their operatives.

What you take back to the office is more than a good story. It's evidence, who spotted what everyone else missed, who kept a clear head when the clock ran down, who naturally took charge. Instead of self-descriptions, you get observed behavior, and a shared vocabulary for how your team genuinely operates.

live challenges

From cracking codes to spotting a tail, every mission your team tackles produces real behavioral data. Together with our Mind Games interactives, it all flows into each person's Q Type - a live read on instincts, judgment calls, and composure when the pressure's on.

Engage & test

Put your colleagues through deception detection, rapid problem-solving, and psychological profiling missions. Nothing is wasted, every choice and reaction feeds individual and team Q Type profiles that surface strengths and dynamics no survey would catch.

Actionable Insights

Walk out with strategies you can use Monday morning, sharper collaboration, clearer communication, better decisions under pressure - all drawn from what your team actually did, not what they said they'd do. Know yourself, understand others.

Logistics

We handle the details so you don't have to - flexible group sizes, catering and bar packages, a dedicated host from arrival to wrap-up, and a private room in the heart of Midtown for your team's debrief.

What Teams Discover About Themselves

The Q Type profile was unnervingly accurate. It identified a pattern in how I work under pressure that I recognised immediately but had never articulated.

The Q Type profile nailed how I approach decisions. It’s the first assessment I’ve seen that connects personality to real behaviour. A great idea for a fun and insightful team day out, even better with food and drinks during the debrief afterwards.
Managing Director
Highly recommend it if you're looking for something new with live challenges to complete, the Q Type profile all about me at the end sparked some new ideas for my career.

The experience was so immersive that it didn’t feel like a work event at all. But the Q Type session translated directly into actionable insights giving us a clearer understanding of team dynamics, decision-making styles, and how to work better together immediately.
Project Manager
A fantastic mix of entertainment and team development. The spy challenges were engaging, and reviewing our profiles together sparked valuable conversations about collaboration and communication.
Head of People
Our team loved how interactive the experience was - it wasn’t just fun, it genuinely helped us learn more about each other’s strengths. The Q Type profile discussions afterwards in the private room gave us insights we could bring straight back to work.
Head of Marketing
Seeing everyone’s Q Types helped us understand how we naturally approach challenges as a team. It also highlighted a few gaps, we realised we had lots of big picture thinkers but fewer people focused on detail. It sparked a really useful conversation about how we balance that.
Commercial Manager
Finding out everyone's Q Type at the end was the real gem. I was an Agent Handler and loved seeing my strengths and areas to improve in a spider diagram. Totally worth it!
Project Manager
The spy theme kept everyone engaged from start to finish. But the real highlight was using the Q Type profiles to reflect on our working styles in a fun but impactful way. A great investment for any company.

FAQs

Q Types has been experienced by over a million people across SPYSCAPE's London and New York venues. Here are the questions we hear most.

What is the difference between SPYSCAPE and SPYGAMES?

SPYSCAPE is a brain-teasing experience with challenges in risk tolerance, empathy, observation, pattern recognition and decision-making, developed with top spy trainers and psychologists to assign your individual Q Type profile.

SPYGAMES is a physical, pulse-racing experience that tests collaboration, agility, and communication through high-adrenaline missions, developed with CIA and Special Ops experts.

Both experiences are available in London and in New York and can be booked together with an All Access ticket.

How long does a visit to SPYSCAPE take?

A SPYSCAPE visit typically takes around 90 minutes in New York and 60 minutes in London. If you add SPYGAMES with an All Access ticket, allow at least 2 hours in total. Last entry is 90 minutes before closing in New York and 60 minutes before closing in London.

Where is SPYSCAPE located?

SPYSCAPE has two locations: London at 45 Wellington Street, Covent Garden, WC2E 7BN, and New York City at 928 8th Avenue, NY 10019. Both venues also host SPYGAMES and are open seven days a week.

What is a Q Type profile?

A Q Type is an individual profile based on multiple factors including empathy, risk tolerance, observation, pattern recognition, cognitive ability and decision-making style. The Q Type methodology was developed by Professor Adrian Furnham, a leading psychologist, and John Taylor, former Head of Training at British Intelligence (MI6). There are ten Q Types in total, each based on archetypes used by real intelligence agencies. Unlike traditional psychological profiles Q Types are based on both self-reported and observed results.

Is SPYSCAPE suitable for all ages?

SPYSCAPE is designed for adults and teenagers but can be enjoyed by visitors aged 8 and up. There is no upper age limit. Children under 8 may find some challenges difficult. Carers and assistants accompanying visitors with accessibility needs receive a complimentary ticket - proof of eligibility is required.

Can I do SPYSCAPE and SPYGAMES in one visit?

Yes. The All Access ticket combines both experiences at the same venue. You start with 50 minutes at SPYGAMES, followed by the full SPYSCAPE experience - 90 minutes in New York or 60 minutes in London. Allow at least 2 hours in total for the combined visit.
