understand your team. transform how you work.

Great cases are never the work of one person.

An elite team building experience for organisations that want more than an offsite or a personality test. Through immersive, intelligence-inspired challenges, it reveals how your team operates under pressure – how they communicate, make decisions and react in real time. Other tools ask people to describe themselves. This shows you what they actually do.

Like any successful intelligence operation, high-performing teams rely on a balance of complementary strengths. No single person can do everything. Different people solve different problems, and success depends on how those strengths work together. That’s why Elite Teams focuses on three core traits – Implementers, Thinkers and Connectors – that underpin effective teamwork.

Built on Intelligence Methods

Developed from principles used to train intelligence professionals under high-pressure conditions.

Q Type Profiling System

Scores live challenge performance against 1M+ profiles to show how your team actually operates - not just how they say they do.

Expert-Led Insight

Every Elite Teams session ends with a debrief led by a former Head of Training at British Intelligence.

What teams get out of it

a day they'll remember

Live challenges and mind games. Genuinely fun, not just useful.

A read on every individual

Each person’s Q Type and preferred team role, and where they contribute most.

A map of the team as one unit

Where your trait mix is strong and where it is exposed, benchmarked against a million profiles.

A shared language

A common vocabulary for how the team works, that survives the journey back to the office.

Something you can act on

A debrief that turns the data into decisions about how people are grouped, briefed and led.

The debrief is the difference

Every Elite Teams session ends with a private debrief led by John Taylor, former Head of Training at British Intelligence, who developed intelligence officers at the highest level. Over food and drinks, he takes your team’s results and gives a direct read on dynamics, leadership styles, blind spots and performance gaps.

Most team-building ends when the activity ends. This is where it starts.

FAQs

Q Types has been experienced by over a million people across SPYSCAPE's London and New York venues. Here are the questions we hear most.

How is this different from Myers-Briggs or StrengthsFinder?

Those tools score what you report about yourself. Q Type adds observed performance under pressure, and extends the read from the individual to the team - showing whether your mix of Implementers, Thinkers and Connectors is balanced or exposed.

Who leads the debrief?

A former Head of Training at British Intelligence, who developed intelligence officers at the highest level. He draws on that experience to give direct, actionable insight into your team's dynamics, leadership styles, blind spots, and performance gaps.

What is a Q Type profile?

An individual profile based on empathy, risk tolerance, observation, pattern recognition, cognitive ability and decision-making style. There are ten Q Types, each based on archetypes used by real intelligence agencies. Unlike profiles built purely on self-report, a Q Type combines what you say with what you do in the challenges.

What will we walk away with?

A personal profile for every participant, a shared read on how the team functions as a unit including strengths and gaps, and a common language for working better together afterwards. Each participant also receives a take-home booklet.

How big does our team need to be?

The experience is designed for groups of 8 or more. We host everyone from single teams to larger leadership groups; get in touch and we'll size it to you.

Where does it take place, and when can we book?

It's running now at SPYSCAPE London, expanding to New York City later this year. A limited number of slots are available.

What's included?

The full immersive SPYSCAPE experience, individual Q Type results for every participant, an expert-led team debrief, and premium hospitality.
