Helen is an editor on the Culture Desk at The New York Times, and her taste in espionage culture runs to John le Carré and “The Americans.” She also enjoys accounts of real-life spies, like the Russian illegals who were arrested a few years ago in the otherwise undistinguished suburb where she lives with her family. She’s relatively new to making crosswords, indebted to the strong mentoring community and completely addicted to the constructing process. She’s excited to make her “Spyscape” debut.
