Netflix is partnering with Alexi Hawley and Doug Liman on a new espionage drama. The Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy team will adapt Dave Hutchinson’s spy thriller series, Fractured Europe, for tv. Apple TV+ will deliver a series adaptation of Garth Risk Hallberg's bestselling mystery novel City on Fire. Stillwater, Tom McCarthy’s thriller starring Matt Damon, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this week.

Spy sisters

Series pilot Sisterhood of Spies, a 2021 SPYFLIX Festival submission, will become available for streaming on August 1st. The animated series pilot tells the story of four high school girls who find they do not need superpowers to save the world, just each other. A group of female secret intelligence professionals are behind the project, including counterterrorism analyst, Gina Bennett.
