The Role

The Sales Manager will be one of the main points of contact for the travel trade for existing and new clients. Building new accounts and maintaining existing relationships with clients are key parts of this role. The Sales Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales to ensure that all sales goals are met and exceeded.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of an emerging global brand. Our ideal candidate has extensive industry contacts and has a strong understanding of the tour and travel market.

The successful candidate will be willing to dive into a very dynamic working environment, taking on a variety of tasks wherever needed.

This role is based in midtown Manhattan and reports to the Director of Sales.

  • Cultivating new & existing business via sales calls and office visits
  • Initiating, maintaining and negotiating contracts with tour operators, receptive operators
  • Handling all incoming inquiries in a timely manner and converting to sales
  • Providing the highest level of customer service to all clients
  • Utilizing our ticketing system to make and update group reservations
  • Track all client relations through our CRM and periodic database cleanup
  • Attending trade shows as needed domestically
  • Communicating in a timely, efficient and professional manner both internally and externally
  • Serving as point of contact between ticket office & group sales
  • Achieving and exceeding monthly sales goals
  • Hosting site inspections
  • Creating packages & partnerships with local partners
  • Maintaining and cultivating relationships with NYC & Co and other membership organizations
  • Representing Spyscape positively and proactively in the travel trade market
  • Efficient and effective allocation of resources in development of new business partnerships, in line with overall trade sales strategy
  • Building and developing school and camp programs

The Sales Manager will also need to travel from time to time to various trade shows and have a flexible schedule. As a Sales Manager, you will need to attend various evening networking events and travel and/or work occasional weekends.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Requirements

  • The successful applicant will have a strong track record of successful sales experience in the hospitality industry
  • 3-5 years+ sales experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced work environment
